Zverev Forced to Retire with Injury

Rafael Nadal has advanced to his 14th French Open final after Alexander Zverev was forced to retire in the semifinals with an apparent ankle injury.

Nadal won the first set 7-6 (10-8) before Zverev twisted his ankle at the end of the second set. Zverev received medical attention and initially tried to continue playing, but he was unable to do so and was forced to retire.

The Spaniard will now face Casper Ruud in Sunday's final. Ruud defeated Marin Cilic in the other semifinal 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2.
