Actor Shares 20-Year-Old Son James With Ex-Model
The "Banshees of Inisherin" Star Aims To Help Other Families
Colin Farrell has co-founded a foundation to help families with children who have rare neurogenetic disorders.
The actor shares his 20-year-old son, James, with ex-model Kim Bordenave. James has a rare neurogenetic disorder called Angelman syndrome.
The new foundation, called the James Farrell Foundation, aims to help other families like theirs through advocacy, education, and support.
"We are so grateful for the opportunity to use our platform to help other families who are going through similar challenges," Farrell said in a statement.
The foundation's website says that it will focus on supporting families in three main areas: medical research, education, and advocacy.
Farrell and Bordenave welcomed their first child together in 2003.
