Dallas Mavericks Dominate Early in NBA Finals
Doncic, Irving Lead Charge for First Appearance Since 2011
The Dallas Mavericks have taken an early lead in the NBA Finals, with a decisive 123-93 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 2. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving combined for 72 points, leading the Mavericks to their first NBA Finals appearance since the 2010-11 season.
Doncic Scores 35, Leads Series
Doncic finished with a game-high 35 points, while Irving added 37. The Mavericks shot 53% from the field, compared to just 38% for the Clippers. Dallas also outrebounded Los Angeles 46-38.
The Mavericks now lead the series 3-2, and can clinch the championship with a win in Game 6 on Thursday night in Los Angeles.
