Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth to Star in Mad Max Prequel, Furiosa

Cast and Crew Announced for 'Mad Max' Spin-Off

Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth have been cast in the upcoming 'Mad Max' prequel, 'Furiosa', alongside a stellar cast that includes Alyla Browne and Tom Burke.

The film, directed by George Miller and written by Miller and Nico Lathouris, serves as both a spin-off and prequel to the 2015 film 'Mad Max: Fury Road'. Taylor-Joy will portray the titular character, Furiosa, alongside Hemsworth as Dementus, a new character to the franchise.

Rounding out the cast are Lachy Hulme as Immortan Joe, Rizzdale Pell as Nux, and Nathan Jones reprising his role as Rictus Erectus from 'Mad Max: Fury Road'.

'Furiosa' is set to begin filming in Australia in early 2023, with a release date set for 2024.
